The Security Officer is responsible for protecting organizations property assets. Employees and visitors. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.

In this role, you will:
  • Responsible for patrolling and monitoring facility monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.

  • Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.

  • Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to

  • Using provided communication devices (two-way radios) in a clear and concise manner.

  • May perform CPR in emergency situations.

  • Maintains a vigilant focus on protecting company’s property and enforces laws.

  • May conduct security checks for specified areas.

  • Controls visitor and property access during and after work hours.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply good judgement to identify best course of action.

  • Observation skills and the ability to quickly notice anything out of order.

  • Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.

  • Report safety issues such as fire hazards, vandalism and suspicious criminal activity.

  • Additional duties as assigned. 

We need someone who has:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years Security Guard experience

  • Level II Non-Commissioned Preferred

  • CPR First Aid Certification a plus

  • Former experienced in Corrections, Military, and Law Enforcement, a plus

  • Security Guard License or Certification

  • Valid Driver License with a good driving record

  • Minimum 1 year driving with license

Job duties involved an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood with a risk of exposure to Hepatitis and HIV.
